Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD) is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the sinuses and lungs.
At the Penn AERD Center, we understand that AERD is a difficult condition and can’t be underestimated. It is common for AERD patients being treated elsewhere to undergo multiple unsuccessful sinus surgeries and/or polypectomies, due in part to a lack of properly coordinated medical and surgical management. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to provide optimal, long lasting relief for our patients.
As the only multidisciplinary AERD center in the region, the Penn AERD Center is made up of subspecialists who provide coordinated medical and surgical treatment options for AERD. We realize that in order to accomplish our goals for our AERD patients, it takes a combination of medical and surgical skill sets. Our specialists work together as a cohesive unit and communicate with local physicians to determine the best individualized treatment plan to provide relief to our patients, making the Penn AERD Center one of the leading AERD centers in the world.
