Penn Family Care

About me

  • Associate Professor of Clinical Family Medicine and Community Health

I practice the full scope of Family Medicine including: chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, routine GYN care, contraception and family planning, pre-natal care, obstetrics, LGBTQ healthcare including gender-affirming hormone therapy, pediatrics, pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PREP), mental health like depression and anxiety, treatment for addictions including nicotine, alcohol, and opioids, health-focused and body-positive weight loss treatment, and adult care. I deliver babies with the Penn Family Medicine group at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

In my Perelman School of Medicine medical educator roles I collaborate to develop and implement educational content that focuses on health equity and justice, anti-racism, inclusion, and building relationships as a physician. As the Director of Medical Student Education in Family Medicine, I lead our team of devoted and amazing educators in teaching medical students. I know that our patients have so much to teach our medical learners as well!
