What to expect during your physical and occupational therapy sessions
In your first therapy session we ask about your symptoms, do a physical assessment, and listen to your concerns.
The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill reduces weight on your muscles and joints by up to 80 percent. Walking or running on this FDA-approved device helps with:
- Athletic training
- Fall prevention and balance
- Injury or surgery recovery
- Rehabilitation after a stroke or other neurological condition
- Weight loss when walking or running isn’t yet possible
We may recommend aquatic therapy to help you recover with less muscle and joint pain. Our Hydroworx 2000 pool lessens the strain on your body, allowing you to comfortably improve your strength, endurance, and flexibility.
We keep the pool between 86 and 90 degrees to promote relaxation and blood circulation. Your physical therapist may have you slowly walk on an underwater treadmill. An underwater camera allows us to monitor your movements and track your progress.
Pinpointing the source of knee pain can be tricky. The KneeKG device provides a real-time image of your knee in motion, offering greater accuracy in identifying causes of pain than an MRI or X-ray.
You walk on a treadmill for 30 minutes with the KneeKG around your knee. Afterward, we look at the results and create a care plan to treat knee pain and restore your mobility.
