Masking Guidelines
Updated April 17, 2025
The number of people with flu, COVID, and other respiratory illnesses in our region has steadily declined.
Patients, visitors, and staff are no longer required to wear masks in our hospitals and doctor's offices, including in areas where people with weakened immune systems receive care.
Anyone who wants to wear a mask is welcome to do so. If you have a cough, runny nose, or other respiratory symptoms, you must wear a surgical mask while inside Penn Medicine facilities. We also encourage people with weakened immune systems to continue to wear masks.
