Praba Boominathan, MD, has joined the Faculty of Penn Pain Medicine as an assistant professor of clinical anesthesiology and critical care. A graduate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Boominathan completed an internship followed by an anesthesiology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She then completed a fellowship in pain management at the Perelman School of Medicine.
Dr. Boominathan’s approach to pain management is multimodal and interdisciplinary, and involves pharmacotherapy, physical therapy and image-guided interventional techniques. Apart from the breadth of spine- and joint-related chronic pain conditions she treats, she has particular interest in treating pelvic and cancer-related pain.
Dr. Boominathan will see patients at the Penn Spine Center at Penn Medicine Rittenhouse and Penn Medicine University City.
