A graduate of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Anish Butala, MD, completed a residency at Penn Radiation Oncology, and an internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine.
Dr. Butala specializes in the management of cancer of all body sites, with a clinical focus on palliative radiotherapy and the treatment of oligometastatic disease. During his residency at Penn, he worked extensively with the palliative care team and co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and a textbook chapter on palliative radiotherapy. He has otherwise contributed to departmental quality improvement initiatives, and lectured widely on topics related to radiation oncology.
