A graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Kara Shetler, MD, completed her residency at New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center, and was subsequently a fellow in vascular neurology at the Neurological Institute of New York at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Board certified in neurology, Dr. Shetler cares for all inpatient neurological conditions, and specializes in the treatment of stroke and the acute management of patients with neurological diagnoses. She has a particular clinical interest in neurovascular conditions affecting pregnant and postpartum women.
