Jens Witsch, MD, earned his medical degree from Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. He then completed his neurology residency at the Charité in Berlin and a research fellowship in neurocritical care at Columbia University. He subsequently completed a neurology residency at Yale School of Medicine followed by a fellowship in vascular neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College. He earned a doctoral degree from Heidelberg University for research in cell physiology conducted at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg and an advanced teaching and research degree from the Charité (Habilitation).

Board certified in neurology in the US and in Europe, Dr. Witsch specializes in the treatment of stroke and the acute management of patients with neurological diagnoses. He has a particular clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of secondary injury after hemorrhagic stroke.

Dr. Witsch sees patients at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
