A graduate of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, PA, Joseph A. Marascio, MD, completed an internship in internal medicine (PGY-1) at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey, PA. This was followed by residencies in radiation oncology at the Medical College of Georgia-Augusta University Medical Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Prior to joining Penn Medicine, Dr. Marascio was an Assistant Professor at the Emory School of Medicine and practiced at the Atlanta VAMC. His research interests include the incorporation of genomic classifiers in thoracic, GU, and prostate cancer diagnostics.
