Dr. Scott Peslak received his MD/PhD in 2014 as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He subsequently completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology as part of the Physician Scientist Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Peslak is currently an Instructor of Hematology and a physician-scientist at the University of Pennsylvania with a clinical focus on red cell disorders such as sickle cell disease and thalassemia. His research interests include improving therapeutic approaches for sickle cell disease via study of key signaling pathways that regulate the fetal form of hemoglobin.

Board certified in Hematology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Peslak sees patients at the Penn Blood Disorders Center at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
