Igor Makhlin, MD, is a graduate of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, and completed his postgraduate training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, MD, where he completed an internship and residency in medicine. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Makhlin’s clinical interests include metastatic breast cancer with a focus on HER2+ disease. His research interests include drug and biomarker development, as well as clinical trials focusing on novel targeted therapies.
Dr. Makhlin is board certified in internal medicine. He sees patients at the Rena Rowan Breast Center in the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
