William Joseph Chapin, MD, has joined the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Penn Medicine. Dr. Chapin is a graduate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine; he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, Dr. Chapin received a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) degree from the Perelman School of Medicine, a program designed to train individuals for successful careers as independent academic clinical investigators.
Dr. Chapin specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of GI malignancies, including colorectal, gastric, pancreatic, esophageal and biliary tract cancers. Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Chapin sees patients at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
