Ian Cooley, MD, MS, has joined the faculty of Penn Rheumatology.
A graduate of Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, Dr. Cooley earned a Master's degree in immunology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He completed his residency in internal medicine at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, followed by a clinical fellowship in rheumatology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Cooley specializes in general rheumatology and musculoskeletal ultrasound. His clinical interests include inflammatory arthritis, crystalline arthropathies — including gout and calcium pyrophosphate deposition (CPPD) disease — and the use of ultrasound to diagnose and treat rheumatologic disease.
Dr. Cooley sees patients at Penn Medicine Radnor and the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
