Nasheed Mohammad Hossain, MD, is now on the faculty of Penn Hematology and Oncology.

A graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Hossain completed his internship and residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship/postdoctoral appointment in the Division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Department of Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr. Hossain's clinical interests span the blood cancers. His research has included both bench and clinical efforts, with a focus on investigations in T cell immunotherapy for cancers, including a study of the combination of CD19/CD22 CAR T cells with chemotherapy and CD19-CD34 CAR transduced T cells in patients with recurrent or refractory CD19+ B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Board certified in internal medicine and hematology, Dr. Hossain sees patients at the Abramson Cancer Center Perelman 4th Floor West.
