Penn Hematology Oncology welcomes Parul Agarwal, MD.
A graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Agarwal completed a residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (where she also served as chief medical resident), and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her clinical expertise includes gastrointestinal cancers, with a particular focus on pancreas, colon, rectal and anal cancer.
Dr. Agarwal’s research interests include expanding the use of immunotherapy in patients with gastrointestinal cancers. She has prior experience leading clinical trials with the primary aim of developing novel, immunotherapy-based treatment regimens for patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Dr. Agarwal also has a particular interest in optimizing oncology care delivery and providing multi-disciplinary oncology care.
Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Agarwal sees patients at the Abramson Cancer Center Perelman and the Abramson Cancer Center Radnor.
