Emmanuel Gibon, MD, PhD, completed a hip and knee replacement surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, as well as a complex pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at New York University, and an adult reconstructive fellowship at the University of Florida.

Passionate about basic science, Dr. Gibon also attended Stanford University for two research fellowships. Prior to these fellowships, Dr. Gibon earned his medical degree from the University of Rouen in Normandy, France and then completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery and earned a PhD in biomaterials from the University of Paris in Paris, France.

Dr. Gibon specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery. He performs a wide range of procedures from straightforward to complex primary hip and knee replacement, including partial knee replacement. He has a particular interest in the evaluation and treatment of failed hip and knee arthroplasties. When indicated, he uses muscle-sparing approaches and computer or robotic technology.

Dr. Gibon sees patients at Penn Medicine University City and Penn Medicine Valley Forge.
