Penn Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy welcomes Nathan Belkin, MD.

A graduate of Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Health Sciences and Technology Division, Dr. Belkin completed an internship in vascular surgery and a residency in integrated vascular surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he trained under former Division Chief Ronald Fairman, MD, and current Division Chief Dr. Darren Schneider.

Dr. Belkin’s clinical practice involves all areas of vascular surgery with a particular focus on peripheral vascular disease, limb salvage, and aortic surgery, including critical limb ischemia, aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, and carotid stenosis, as well as thoracic outlet syndrome, dialysis access and varicose veins.

In research, Dr. Belkin’s interests include clinical outcomes-based research using the Vascular Quality Initiative database to evaluate the effects of antiplatelet therapy in various vascular surgery patient populations, as well as peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, and health services research with a focus on limb salvage.

Board-eligible in Surgery, Dr. Belkin sees patients at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Penn Medicine University City and Penn Medicine Woodbury Heights.
