Visish M. Srinivasan, MD, has joined the faculty of Penn Neurosurgery.

A graduate of the combined degree program at the Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Srinivasan completed neurosurgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine, and subsequently completed fellowships in both endovascular neurosurgery and cerebrovascular/skull base surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona.

Dr. Srinivasan is a comprehensive cerebrovascular neurosurgeon, with advanced training in both microsurgical/skull base techniques and endovascular techniques to treat cerebrovascular disorders. His clinical interests include the treatment of aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and fistulas, ischemic stroke, intracranial and subarachnoid hemorrhage, and other cerebrovascular disorders. Dr. Srinivasan’s specialties encompass diagnostic cerebral angiograms and comprehensive cerebrovascular surgery, including microsurgical "open" treatments, endovascular/neurointerventional procedures, and stereotactic radiosurgery.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Srinivasan has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and will lead a new neurovascular innovation laboratory at Penn Medicine. He sees patients at the Penn Neuroscience Center in the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
