Genna Waldman, MD, graduated with AOA honors from Rush Medical College, and completed her internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Neurology at New York Presbyterian Columbia University.

She then completed a supernumerary chief resident year while an attending in the General Neurology practice at New York Presbyterian Columbia University (NYPMC), where she subsequently completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology with a focus in EEG and in Clinical Epilepsy.

During her chief residency year at NYPMC, Dr. Waldman had a focus in resident education, hospital operations and administrative projects, leading the institution's implementation of EPIC EMR and the first peak of the COVID-19 response in New York City. In recognition for her excellence in leadership during this time, she received the award for humanism in medicine, the Shafer Award, from the Department of Neurology.

Dr. Waldman cultivated her expertise in epilepsy during her two years in fellowship, with a focus in drug resistant epilepsy, woman with epilepsy, and neuromodulation treatments.

Board certified in Neurology, Dr. Waldman sees patients at Penn Neuroscience Center - Neurology at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and Penn Neurology Pennsylvania Hospital.
