Jennifer Douglas, MD, is a graduate of the Perelman School of Medicine, and completed an otolaryngology residency and fellowship in rhinology and skull base surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
During her medical training, Dr. Douglas collaborated with Dr. Noam Cohen at the Perelman School of Medicine and Dr. Danielle Reed at the Monell Chemical Senses Center to study the role of bitter taste receptors in sinonasal innate immunity.
A well-published surgeon-scientist, Dr. Douglas’ research efforts focus on the mechanisms of viral-induced olfactory loss and the role of bitter taste receptors in sinonasal innate immunity. She has a specific clinical interest in aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease and chemosensory disorders, as well as cerebrospinal fluid leaks and sinonasal and anterior skull base tumors.
Board certified in Otolaryngology, Dr. Douglas sees patients at Penn Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Perelman.
