Ryan Carey, MD, specializes in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery. A graduate of the Perelman School of Medicine, Dr. Carey completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a head and neck surgery fellowship at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinic.
A surgeon-scientist, Dr. Carey is dedicated to caring for patients with head and neck cancers while advancing the field through translational research. His Lab at Penn Otorhinolaryngology focuses on the interface between cancer neuroscience, cell biology, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology, and genetics to better understand how head and neck cancer cells interact with the local tumor environment.
