Sarah Anne Houtmann, MD, has joined Penn Hematology and Oncology.
A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Houtmann was chief resident in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she subsequently completed a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology.
Dr. Houtmann has co-authored reports on the presence of fatty liver disease in post-pancreaticoduodenectomy patients and the role of apoptosis inhibition in acute leukemias and myelodysplastic syndrome, among other topics in hematology and oncology. She treats various cancers with special clinical interest in breast cancer, gynecologic oncology, and non-malignant hematology.
Board certified in internal medicine and hematology/medical oncology, Dr. Houtmann sees patients at Penn Hematology Oncology locations in Chester County, including West Chester, Exton, and Kennett Square.
