Tiffany Peng Hwa, MD, is now the Clinical Director of the Center for Adult-Onset Hearing Loss at Penn Medicine.
Following her graduation from Weill Cornell Medical College, Tiffany Hwa, MD, completed a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at New-York Presbyterian Hospital, and a fellowship in Otology & Neurotology (Ears and Lateral Skull Base Surgery) at the Perelman School of Medicine.
Dr. Hwa’s clinical and research interests include music and the brain, hearing loss and complex auditory processing, cochlear implantation, dementia and hearing loss, healthcare disparities, and clinical outcomes in skull base disorders. Her primary research interest explores hearing disparities for patients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). In this population, she is exploring provider-facing and patient-facing avenues to improve care, including literature review, qualitative research, and novel innovations.
