Himabindu Vidula, MD, MS, is now Medical Director, Mechanical Circulatory Support at Penn Cardiology.
A graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she received both her MD degree and an MS degree in Clinical Investigation, Dr. Vidula completed her residency and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center.
Dr. Vidula specializes in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support and left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). Her current research interests are related to telehealth and remote monitoring in LVAD recipients to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life, and she is currently performing multicenter clinical studies related to blood pressure and exercise in LVAD recipients.
Dr Vidula is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and advanced heart failure and transplantation. She sees patients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
