Poonam Mahato, MD, joins the faculty of Penn Cardiology from Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, where she recently completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases. A graduate of Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal, Dr. Mahato completed an internal medicine residency at the Jacobi Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY.
Dr. Mahato’s clinical interests encompass the diagnosis and treatment of range of cardiovascular disorders, with a focus on preventive care. She has published or presented on topics as diverse as hypertension, heart failure, percutaneous coronary interventions and intervention in acute and critical limb ischemia.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Mahato sees patients at the Penn Heart and Vascular Center Radnor.
