Jeffrey Bradley, MD, FACR, FASTRO, joined the faculty of Penn Radiation Oncology on June 1st as Vice Chair, Proton Therapy & Technology Development.

Over a 25-year career, Dr. Bradley has held pivotal academic roles at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, and most recently at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, where as Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology (and Interim Department Chair for almost two years) he aligned clinical operations across seven hospital locations.

Dr. Bradley specializes in thoracic malignancies with a focus on stereotactic body radiation therapy and proton beam therapy, and has long been a proponent of the latter in its applications in thoracic oncology. At Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, he led the development of the first single-room proton center in the world. His research in this area has embraced proton FLASH radiotherapy and proton therapy in early-stage and locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer, among much else.

Dr. Bradley's publications have focused on the management of lung cancer and have served to shape radiation therapy strategies worldwide, including radiation dose, treatment volume, the use of functional imaging, MRI-guided adaptive therapy, and the use of proton beam therapy.

Board certified in radiation oncology, Dr. Bradley sees patients at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
