Elizabeth Anne Genovese, MD, MS, FACS, RPVI, has joined the faculty of Penn Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of the Penn Advanced Limb Preservation Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she also earned a Master’s in Clinical Research, Dr. Genovese completed a residency in vascular surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Genovese has extensive experience in open vascular surgeries and minimally invasive endovascular procedures for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), cerebrovascular disease, mesenteric occlusive disease, aortic aneurysms, dialysis access, and venous disease. She is a national leader in advanced endovascular therapies for limb salvage in patients with PAD.
Her research focuses on healthcare disparities in peripheral arterial disease detection, treatment and outcomes, along with the integration of new technologies to streamline treatment algorithms and improve outcomes with endovascular therapies for peripheral arterial disease.
Dr. Genovese is board-certified in vascular surgery. She sees patients at the Penn Heart and Vascular Center at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and at the Penn Heart and Vascular Center Valley Forge.
