Leslie M. Okorji, MD, has joined Penn GI Surgery. A graduate of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Dr. Okorji completed his residency in general surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was most recently an advanced GI MIS/bariatric surgery fellow at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.
Dr. Okorji’s clinical expertise includes minimally invasive abdominal wall reconstruction, and hernia, bariatric (weight loss), and foregut surgeries.
With an undergraduate background in electrical engineering, Dr. Okorji has a particular interest in the latest technologies being used in GI surgery as well as surgical education, research, and global surgery.
Board certified in surgery, Dr. Okorji sees patients at Penn Medicine Washington Square.
