Russell Maxwell, MD, has joined Penn Radiation Oncology as an Attending/Instructor with a focus on head & neck and skin disorders. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Maxwell completed his internship and a residency in radiation oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. While at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Maxwell undertook a research fellowship to investigate glioblastoma immunotherapy approaches in both preclinical and clinical settings.
Dr. Maxwell’s clinical and research interests include radiotherapy for cancers of the head & neck, blood, central nervous system, and prostate, as well as palliative therapy & symptom mitigation strategies.
Dr. Maxwell is affiliated with the Penn Center for Head and Neck Cancer and the Roberts Proton Center. He sees patients at Penn Radiation Oncology Perelman.
