Dr. Yvette Achuo-Egbe is now on the faculty at Penn Gastroenterology.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Dr. Achuo-Egbe completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at the University of Texas Tyler Health Science Center. She then completed a fellowship in hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School followed by a gastroenterology fellowship where she served as chief fellow at New York Medical College-Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City. Prior to receiving her medical degree, Dr. Achuo-Egbe completed an MS in molecular biology at the University of Memphis; and an MPH in epidemiology after completing her MD at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health.
Dr. Achuo-Egbe has co-authored reports on infectious diseases of the digestive system, gastrointestinal bleeding, and colorectal disease, among other conditions. Board certified in internal medicine, she sees patients at Pennsylvania Hospital.
