Pashna N. Munshi, MD, has joined Penn Hematology Oncology. A graduate of K. J. Somaiya Medical College in Mumbai, India, Dr. Munshi completed her residency training in internal medicine at Cooper University Hospital, an affiliate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, followed by a fellowship in hematology oncology at Rutgers RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. She subsequently completed a sub-specialty fellowship in blood and marrow transplantation at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Munshi joins us from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, where she was the associate clinical director of the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program.
Dr. Munshi has co-authored numerous journal articles and book chapters on allogeneic and autologous hematopoietic transplantation in the blood cancers, among other topics. Her current clinical interests include the treatment of high-risk conditions, including aggressive lymphomas, acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and graft-versus-host disease.
Board certified in internal medicine, and hematology/oncology, Dr. Munshi sees patients at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
