Penn Connected Care’s Virtual Education Sessions make it easier to access many of our educational services — from the comfort of your home.
You can now connect remotely with a Penn provider using your smartphone, laptop or desktop computer, to learn what to expect before, during and after your medical care.
The sessions are conducted by Penn Medicine social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, and registered nurses, who will explain how to care for yourself, as well as provide helpful tips and identify any additional resources available to you.
Virtual education services include:
- Weight management
- Medication use
- Discharge instructions
- Social support
Benefits of Virtual Education Sessions
There are many benefits to our virtual education sessions, including:

- Improved access: More efficient education services are available at your fingertips.
- Lower healthcare costs: Virtual education sessions offer potential savings for both you and your health care provider.
- No geographic restrictions: Virtual education sessions are available from anywhere in the world (in accordance with the laws of your home state or country.)
Services and Eligibility
Virtual education sessions are not offered by every Penn Medicine provider. Virtual education sessions are currently available to eligible participants through our Radiation Oncology Program and Transplant Program. Please contact your provider to determine if he or she participates. Please check back periodically as more providers will begin offering this valuable service.
