The Penn Fracture Clinic is staffed by our highly-skilled orthopaedic trauma clinicians. At the clinic, our physician assistants evaluate patients with fractures in an office setting. If needed, they will obtain any additional images such as X-rays*, as well as refer you to physical and/or occupational therapy or a more specialized physician. At the Penn Fracture Clinic, treatment may consist of a cast, splint or sling. However, depending on the type of fracture and the severity, a recommendation for surgery with necessary next steps may be indicated. We treat the following fracture types:

  • Ankle
  • Shoulder
  • Collarbone (Clavicle)
  • Wrist
  • Elbow
  • Arm
  • Leg
  • Knee and Kneecap (Patella)
  • Foot (heel bone, mid-foot, LisFranc)

Clinic Hours

  • Wednesday: 1 to 3 pm
  • Thursday: Noon to 3 pm
  • Friday: 8 am to Noon

* If you initially visited a non-Penn emergency room, please make sure to bring any x-rays that were taken.
