The Penn Fracture Clinic is staffed by our highly-skilled orthopaedic trauma clinicians. At the clinic, our physician assistants evaluate patients with fractures in an office setting. If needed, they will obtain any additional images such as X-rays*, as well as refer you to physical and/or occupational therapy or a more specialized physician. At the Penn Fracture Clinic, treatment may consist of a cast, splint or sling. However, depending on the type of fracture and the severity, a recommendation for surgery with necessary next steps may be indicated. We treat the following fracture types:
- Ankle
- Shoulder
- Collarbone (Clavicle)
- Wrist
- Elbow
- Arm
- Leg
- Knee and Kneecap (Patella)
- Foot (heel bone, mid-foot, LisFranc)
