After finishing a triathlon, Amy began experiencing pain. When the pain became worse, she underwent numerous tests and was diagnosed with Tarlov cysts, which are fluid-filled sacs that affect nerve roots in the spine. Amy was referred to William C. Welch, MD, who performed surgery. Amy is now excited to be back to training the way she was in the past.
