When do membership services begin?

Membership takes effect on the day of enrollment and continues for one year. Membership is based on the payment of an annual fee, which is payable prior to the start of each enrollment year.

How do I make an appointment?

Members seeking to schedule an appointment or who require assistance may contact Penn Personalized Care directly. All Penn Personalized Care members receive a membership card with detailed contact information to conveniently refer to when making an appointment. Members may receive a new membership card if lost or stolen by calling 215-829-3016.

How long must I wait for an appointment?

Same-day and next-day appointments are available for individuals requiring prompt medical attention. Requests for routine appointments or physicals can be accommodated within two to four weeks. Please be advised members should call 9-1-1 in the event of a medical emergency or visit their nearest emergency department.

What if I need to speak with my doctor after business hours?

Members with medical questions or concerns that arise after normal business hours or on weekends may contact the physician via cell phone or email. Members may also reach out to the practice through myPennMedicine.org. During normal business hours, members should call the main practice number.

What amenities does Penn Personalized Care physician offer?

Members wait for their appointment in the comfort of a quiet, private reception area where they can enjoy light refreshments and access the internet via Penn Medicine’s Wi-Fi service. Additionally, parking during your visit to Penn Personalized Care, is included in the membership fee when members park at the Penn Medicine Washington Square garage.

Will Penn Personalized Care – services be available if my insurance is ‘out-of-network’?

It is possible that a member’s health insurance carrier may change during the term of their membership. Some insurance carriers do not offer in-network coverage for retainer medicine services (concierge medicine). All of the services offered by Penn Personalized Care – remain available to out-of-network members. Please notify the practice if your insurance provider changes at any time. Please remember to bring all of your insurance cards with you and please inform the office if you have received a new insurance card.

Does the practice accept credit cards for payment?

Members may use cash, check or major credit cards to pay for co-pays, and supplemental services or tests not covered under their health insurance.


How do I renew my membership?

The practice will notify you about renewal of service prior to expiration.
