Individuals with an addiction who present at the Emergency Department will be connected with a Certified Recovery Specialist or Care Coordinator. Certified Recovery Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will meet with you to discuss your options.
Care Coordinators and Certified Recovery Specialists are skilled at motivational interviewing and know how to engage patients in a discussion that can help move them from one stage of change to the next.
Treating each patient with respect and dignity, the Care Coordinators and Certified Recovery Specialists will give individuals an experience of feeling cared for, understood, and gently guided to a hopeful new option in the addictions/recovery world. This will include various pathways to recovery, some of which might include medication-assisted treatment.
