To be eligible to stay at the Clyde F. Barker Penn Transplant House, the patient must permanently reside beyond a 40-mile radius of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and be attending a transplant-related appointment. Caregivers must be at least 18 years of age. Children under the age of 18 may visit during daytime hours, but are not eligible as overnight guests of the House.
The Penn Transplant House will make every effort to accommodate patients and their families and caregivers. Availability is based on a first come, first served basis; however, acute need as determined by the Transplant House team will be given priority, and some reservations will be accepted.
Please note that only one room per patient/family/caregiver combination is allowed and our occupancy is limited to four individuals per guest room.

The cost per night to stay at the Penn Transplant House is a nominal flat rate per night. For patients experiencing financial hardship, we have several avenues to help ease this burden — a member of the management team will be happy to discuss options with you discreetly. Payment is accepted via cash, personal check, and all major credit cards.
