The treatment of critically injured or ill patients requires rapid decisions and interventions by physicians across multiple specialties. Given these acute circumstances, it is vitally important to conduct the research necessary to improve patient care and outcomes. The Penn Acute Research Collaboration (PARC) brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts in order to develop a framework to facilitate breakthrough, translational research. Funded by many top sources, including multiple NIH grants, the PARC initiative fosters the collaboration of researchers and physicians to provide the best possible care for patients from the research lab to the bedside.
