Ambient Listening

  • “Ambient listening" - essentially, using software on the doctor’s phone or computer to document the visit notes for the provider to review and complete. In this case, the program takes the place of a human scribe to record the conversation between doctor and patient. This saves the physician from needing to complete their notes after the patient’s visit and allows them to spend the visit more closely focused on the patient in front of them.

A Focus on Physician Wellness Using Technology to Reduce EHR Noise in the ED

  • Streamlined Alerts for Better Care: By reducing unnecessary alerts in the electronic health record (EHR), clinicians can focus more on patient care, improving workflow and response times. With enhanced clinical decision support, alerts are more meaningful, helping doctors and nurses make quicker, more informed decisions that directly benefit patients.
