Michael Restuccia, vice president and chief information officer for Penn Medicine, was named one of Computerworld's Premier 100 Technology Leaders for 2016. Through the award program, Computerworld aims to shine a light on technology and business leaders across the nation.
Restuccia is recognized for leading his information services team in support of Penn Medicine's strategic precision medicine initiatives. Key initiatives include the insourcing of most information service functions from an outsourced firm, implementation of a common electronic medical record across all Penn Medicine patient care settings, deployment of patient care (Penn Data Store) and research computing (PennOmics) data warehouses and the establishment of a Data Access Center to drive analytic value from collected data.
