Princeton Medical Center staff and providers eligible for COVID-19 boosters.Am I eligible?

Employees and medical staff members are eligible for booster shots if they received:

  • their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least six months ago; OR
  • the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two months ago.

Where can I get a booster shot?

You can go to any vaccination site. It does not need to be the same place you went for your original vaccination, and you may also receive any available vaccine, regardless of which one you received originally, according to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Visit covid19.nj.gov/finder to find available locations and schedule appointments.

Can I get my booster shot at Princeton Medical Center (PMC)?

No. Vaccine clinics at PMC will be discontinued after November 5. (All available appointments are booked.) The on-site clinics were established to temporarily meet an urgent need for staff, physicians, and community members when the COVID-19 vaccines were first approved. At the time, very few places were equipped to handle and administer the vaccines. Today, thankfully, our community has many local pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and public health agencies that provide vaccinations.

What do I need to bring to my vaccine appointment?

You will need to present either your CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Card or a mobile device that can access the New Jersey Department of Health’s new Docket app, which is available for free download on Apple and Android devices. (Visit https://covid19.nj.gov/pages/vaxrecords.)

A common issue that prevents people from accessing records through Docket is the lack of a valid phone number in the state’s immunization information system. Princeton Health staff can help correct that issue. Email PMPH-COVID19VaccineQuestions@pennmedicine.upenn.edu for assistance.

Are booster shots required?

No, the shot is optional at this time.

Can I get a COVID-19 booster shot and flu vaccination at the same time?

Yes. There is no recommended waiting period between vaccinations.
