Meghan Lane-Fall, MD, MSHP, an associate professor and vice chair of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in Anesthesia and Critical Care, has been named to a new national leadership role advancing patient safety. Lane-Fall will serve on the executive committee as vice president of the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF), supporting the president and overseeing new multidisciplinary groups tasked with developing strategic initiatives to support the APSF’s ten perioperative patient safety priorities.
“I have been working with the APSF for the past seven years and have been inspired by our simple but powerful vision: ‘That no one shall be harmed by anesthesia care,’” Lane-Fall said. “I’m looking forward to supporting the APSF in advocating for patient and clinician safety in the U.S. and around the world.”
