    A few years ago, Timmi Kilgore, patient service associate in CPUP, enrolled her then 9-year-old daughter in a summer program for 5 to 12-year-old children sponsored by Blessings, an organization which, according to its website, helps to “encourage, enlighten, and instill in children the knowledge that there are no limits to what they can achieve.”

    A Special Celebration for a Brave Young Woman

    Dana Scatton was just 17 years old when, last December, she was diagnosed with DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), an inoperable brain tumor with an average survival rate of less than a year. Dana was also 32 weeks pregnant.

    Our support for the Eagles was visible throughout HUP and the Perelman Center, with staff wearing the green to show their spirit! Even Tugger, one of HUP’s Pups (and no “underdog” himself!) agreed to display his green for the home team. This enthusiasm spread throughout Penn Medicine.
