The team at the Abramson Cancer Center at PPMC recently came together for a small, socially distanced party to celebrate the 100th birthday of James Mitchell. Mitchell is being treated for liver cancer by Manuj Agarwal, MD, medical director of Radiation Oncology.
“This brave man endured the Great Depression, landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day, and participated in the fight for social justice during the civil rights movement,” Agarwal said. “Without men like him, the world would be a darker place. It was truly a privilege to serve Mr. Mitchell during his time of need and celebrate his milestone birthday.”
