All three of Penn Medicine’s Philadelphia hospitals received a special Valentine’s Day surprise—free treats from the Stephen Starr family of restaurants in partnership with Aramark. Over the previous weekend, crews prepped the 1,500 meals at Lincoln Financial Field. It was the restaurant workers’ way to say thank you to our dedicated staff for helping Philadelphia through the latest wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the Starr donation, Philadelphia businesses Slice Pizza and Steven Singer Jewelers also teamed up to donate 350 heart-shaped pizzas to clinical staff at Pennsylvania Hospital, showing their appreciation to the frontline workers and their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, nurses Dorota Zanoni and Alexa Rose Smith, nominated for their efforts by patients, received gold-dipped roses from the jeweler.
