Each year Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health employees celebrate Penn Medicine Experience Week as a way to recognize the life-changing work they do every day.
Experience Week celebrated LG Health’s successes from the past year and the important role each employee plays in delivering an extraordinary experience for patients, their families and each other.
“This important work goes far beyond just a few teams, and not all of it involves direct patient care,” said Jan Bergen, president & CEO of LG Health. “Much of our success comes from working together to embrace the fundamentals of Continuous Improvement, especially the importance of empowering everyone on the team to share their ideas.”
The fourth annual Experience Week took place Oct. 15-19. Each day focused on one of the five Penn Medicine Experience Standards: Compassionate, Present, Empowered, Collaborative and Accountable.
Teams from across the health system participated in various activities, including lunch tote giveaways for all employees, special notes of gratitude and colleague recognition through Touchpoint features.
“Experience Week celebrates the important role we all play in delivering the best patient experience,” Alex Jorgensen, chief Human Resources officer, added. “I am very proud to be part of a team that continuously works together to achieve our goals.”
