Henry A. Jordan Medical Education Center Ribbon Cutting to Kick off 250th Celebration Weekend (video)

A highlight of the 250th birthday celebrations for the Perelman School of Medicine -- the ceremonial ribbon cutting for the Henry A. Jordan M’62 Medical Education Center -- will take place this Friday with the Jordan family, students, alumni, faculty and leadership. The event kicks off a celebratory weekend that includes graduation and the black-tie gala at the Philadelphia Art Museum hosted by NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell, with a performance by Harry Connick, Jr.

"Our greatest supporters are always our alumni," said Gail Morrison, MD, senior vice dean for Education. In addition to the naming gift from the late Dr. Jordan’s family, gifts from over 500 alumni, faculty, staff and friends helped bring the vision for the building to fruition.

JMEC is situated in the heart of campus, just steps away from the Smilow Center for Translational Research and the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, making it among the first in the nation to fully integrate education facilities with active clinical care and research lab space.
