Penn Women's Health Care
We tailor our programs to meet women's distinct health care needs. Our women's health programs focus on:
Breast cancer
Our nationally accredited breast cancer program offers advanced screenings, the latest treatments and compassionate support. We're national leaders in breast cancer research and genetic counseling and testing.
Gynecology
We provide comprehensive gynecology services for women of all ages. We have specialized programs for women with gynecologic cancers, pelvic floor disorders and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). You'll also find one of the few programs in the country providing specialized care for the LGBTQ+ community.
Obstetrics
More families choose to deliver at our Philadelphia hospitals, making our obstetrics program the regional leader. We offer dedicated midwifery services, advanced care for high-risk pregnancies, fertility services, affordable family planning and prenatal genetic testing.
Primary care
Our primary care physicians provide patient-centered care in convenient locations for your family. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has certified many of our primary care practices as Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMHs). This recognition reflects our commitment to building strong physician-patient relationships.
Sports injuries
The Penn Center for the Female Athlete helps women of all ages and athletic abilities recover from sports-related injuries. Our specialists help speed recovery and lower the risk of future injuries.
Women's heart health
At the Women's Cardiovascular Health Program, we specialize in helping women with heart disease or risk factors. We monitor and protect your heart health throughout critical life events, including pregnancy, menopause and cancer treatments.
Clinical Trials for Women
Our doctors and researchers are dedicated to finding new ways to prevent diseases, catch ailments earlier and cure them. Depending on your health situation, you may be able to participate in clinical trials for new diagnostic screenings and therapies.
Many clinical trials are always underway at the Women’s Health Clinical Research Center. Our pioneering studies focus on reproductive health, contraception, infertility, cancers and more.
