Well-woman exams and care

We offer complete well-woman care for all stages of your life. Our well-woman care includes pelvic exams, family planning and contraceptives, menopause care and more.

Gynecologic oncology

Our Gynecologic Oncology Program specialists treat all diseases that affect the reproductive organs, including ovarian cancer and cervical cancer. You receive care at the Abramson Cancer Center, one of only three National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in Pennsylvania.

LGBTQ+ reproductive health

Penn is among a select few U.S. medical centers offering dedicated reproductive health services for the LGBTQ+ community. We offer gender confirmation services, including hormone replacement therapy and surgeries. Learn more about our Program for LGBTQ+ Health.

Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery

Our surgeons specialize in minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures. We perform tubal ligations and treat endometriosis, uterine fibroids, heavy bleeding and other problems through small incisions (or sometimes none at all). We also perform minimally invasive hysterectomies and myomectomies (uterine fibroid removal).

Penn Center for Integrated Fibroid Care

The Penn Center for Integrated Fibroid Care offers women a multidisciplinary, one-stop approach to the diagnosis and treatment of uterine fibroids. Services range from early symptom management to minimally invasive surgery (including complex laparoscopic myomectomy) for women with large fibroids and those seeking alternatives to hysterectomy

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Center

Specialists at the Penn PCOS Center help you manage this lifelong condition. Hormone imbalances from PCOS can cause irregular periods, infertility, weight gain and diabetes. Your medical team works together to address your specific care needs.

Urogynecology services

Our Urogynecology Program provides nonsurgical and surgical treatments for all types of pelvic floor disorders. We specialize in helping women who have urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and postpartum issues.
