Description of Research Expertise

My research expertise includes comparative effectiveness studies in echocardiography using large datasets and developing predictive algorithms using nonlinear, machine learning techniques. My work on the clinical utility and variability of intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in cardiac surgery has resulted in publications in leading clinical journals including: JAMA Network Open, Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography (JASE), Annals of Thoracic Surgery (ATS), and the British Journal of Anaesthesia Open. I have an ongoing interest in using data to study perioperative research questions in the field of Anesthesiology and Critical Care.
